Bio
Angel Salazar is an Ecuadorian electronic media artist who lives and works in Argentina. His work includes interactive installations, digital manufacturing processes, and the design of technological devices. His practice develops in a transdisciplinary manner between art and technology, exploring various futurist narratives around the notion of post-nature from South American perspectives through the speculative use of artificial intelligence tools. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Technology and Aesthetics of Electronic Arts at UNTREF, he has exhibited his work in various cities in South America and Europe.
He is the producer of the Latin American Sound Ecologies Cycle on the Art and Technology platform LABtinoamérica (Cl) and serves as the Coordinator in the Master’s program in Electronic Arts (UNTREF). Highlights include the Ars Electronica Festival 2023 (Aut), La Box Residency – ENSA/Bourges 2023 (Fr), FACTO 10 (Br), the Suratómica Festival (Col), the 20th Edition of the Piksel Festival 2022 (No), the 5th Festival of Arts and Technologies “Toda la Teoría del Universo” 2022 (Cl), as well as conducting workshops on machine learning tools in artistic practices on platforms such as WIP Arte Digital, EspacioLAB, and Exploratorio (Col).
